~<>~Kynaree's POV~<>~
It's too quiet in here, I thought as I walked through the large storage room. Everything seemed kind of misty, when I scanned the area around me for some type of energy I found that I was surrounded. However, it didn't make sense, I was completely alone. The presences' auras radiated with boredom. "Hm, if I can't see them they must be spirits," I wondered out loud and the sound echoed through the room. Why would spirits be so bored? Why would they be in a place like this?
The boxes in the room were piled as high as I could see and I wondered where the ceiling was to this strange room. "Hello?" I heard a voice greet from behind me. It sounded like an old guy but he disappeared before I could turn around. I had a feeling of despair as I directed myself to where the voice came from.
"Hello?" I called back. I poked my head around the gap between the boxes and screamed at the site.
I fell over and hit the carpeting, I wasn't in the weird room anymore. It looked like I was in journalism and fell asleep in class. Valkyrie was giving me a concerned look and the rest of the class looked relieved that I interrupted our boring lecture.
"Kynaree, is there a problem?" the teacher asked me, glaring through her spectacles. , "No, I just had a nightmare," I answered getting back into my desk.
"You were sleeping in my class?" she confirmed, taking out a slip of paper. I frowned and walked up to receive my detention. "There, go to the office for the rest of the hour" she motioned to the door. Why do all the teachers hate me?
Why did I have that scary dream? I remember the ugly sight, the boxes weren't the only thing piled up. When I turned the corner I seen a small hill of corpses. The worst part was I recognized a lot of them, there was Trudie, Phil-- which didn't surprise me because he's already dead, Cecil, and people I've only seen one or twice in school. While I sat in the office I thought about the icky bodies, reminding myself it was a dream.
My smile returned when I heard the lunch bell ring, I skipped out of the office and into the cafeteria. Cecil sat at our now regular table and I ran and gave him an awkward hug. "I'm really happy you're not dead!"
"Um, thanks," he replied, just sitting there limp while I hugged him. I finally let him go and sat beside him. Before he could ask me what that was about I started to talk.
"I had a really scary dream," I explained, "And I was in a big weird storage room and then I seen a lot of people dead... and then I woke up and got kicked out of class."
"Okay, and I'm assuming I was one of those dead people?"
"Yes! And I decided that I can't leave you all alone. You need to come to Valkyrie's with me," I shook his arm so he'd meet my gaze. He just sat there and picked at his whatever-it-was he was eating, Nasty school food. "Pretty please, I don't want you to end up like Phil," I told him taking my eyes away from the thing on his tray.
He shook his head, "I don't trust them."
Throughout lunch, instead of eating, I just sat there and glared at him. I wanted to be one of those glares where even though you weren't looking at the person, you could feel their eyes shooting laser beams through your head. However, that wasn't the case, because Cecil didn't once look in my direction or say another word on the subject. I left to sit with Trudie, but when I took a seat next to her the bell rang. I didn't even have time to say "Hi". The rest of the day went by mostly the same, and in Art the Dartan and human didn't talk to me. "Winchester" tried to, but I didn't cooperate. Maybe I was over thinking things. The reason he didn't want to go was simple, once I was out of the equation his life would be out of danger.

~Trudie's POV~
I was just sitting there eating my lunch peacefully by myself. When Kynaree stomped up and sat next to me. She didn't say anything and I wasn't about to make conversation. I haven't talked to her for over a week. Come to think of it I haven't talked to anybody for over a week. I guess I have a pretty good reason.
I haven't talked to anybody since I walked in on Drew, my loser ex-boyfriend, with another girl. In my apartment! Can you believe that? I wouldn't if I wasn't there. I asked him how long he has been cheating on me and he just wouldn't talk to me. I made him leave that night even thought it was midnight. I wasn't supposed to be home 'till two in the morning that night but got off early from work cause they were cutting hours and I was tired. I thought I would surprise Drew by coming home early since I knew he would be waiting for me. I found out he was waiting for me. He was waiting to tell his other girlfriend to go home so I wouldn't see.
But guess what now I'm failing half my classes and am on the verge of failing all of them. But who cares I live by myself now. Nobody cares except I am supposed to but I don't. While I was going over my crappy life in my head, I didn't even realize that Kynaree had already left without even saying hi or bye.
The bell rang and I went to my next class still in my own head. The days go by fast when you don't pay attention and don't do any homework. All you do is mope around and sleep. I had a lot of time to think about Drew and I and wondered if I ever loved him or if I just fell into his trap? If the other girl was the only reason he moved in with me? I've always like Drew, since we were little, I think a little part of me always loved Drew. And now look, I'm wondering if he EVER loved me. I'm so confused.
It was finally the week end and I just worked all weekend. What else would I do? One night I got home and my phone said it was a new voice mail. I didn't really want to listen but thought it might be important. So I listened to it, it was one of Drew and I's best friends before I moved and she said:
"Hey Trudie, its Elizabeth. I heard about Drew. He and I still talked and he told me you guys were going out and I was really happy for you. I'm sorry to hear about the crash. I read about it in the paper. About the crash. I was just wondering cause I figured you would have a say. When is the funeral? Is it soon? Or is there even going to be a funeral? Well, if you would would you call me back to let me know? My number in case you didn't know it is: 345- 2745. Please call me back and I am truly sorry. Truly. Bye."
I thought I was gonna cry when I heard that. Drew's Dead? How could that have happened? I was with him 2 weeks ago. I started to feel my eyes tear up when I thought about calling Elizabeth back. I thought it would be rude not to. So I dialed her number: 345-2745.
It started dialing and fortunately she didn't answer. Any other time I would love to talk to her. I haven't talked to her in a long time. So I left a message:
"Hey Liz, It's Trudie. I wish I could have talked to you sooner, but Drew and I we broke up over a week ago. I cried when I heard your message and you could probably tell, but I'm still crying. I'm sorry about Drew too. But not entirely cause i'm still mad at him. He cheated on me in my own apartment. and I haven't got over it yet. I haven't barely said a word to anyone. Not even my new friends from my new school, which by the way is totally crazy. I miss you guys so much but I just couldn't stay there. I had to leave. And I know I was running away and thats not how to end things but I had to. Who knows maybe I'll move again now. I doubt it thought. but I got to go. Bye"
I could barley get the last couple words out cause I was just balling. I needed to get out of the house soon. I needed to talk to someone. So I drove. But I had no where to go. I didn't know anybody. So I drove back to my hometown and went to Liz's house and she wasn't home. I asked her parents when she would be and they said within an hour. So I asked them to have Liz call me when she gets home. It was Sunday night so I knew I wasn't gonna be in school on Monday. Who knows Maybe not even Tuesday. I drove to my old favorite clothes shop and shopped around. I didn't see anything I liked and didn't have any money to buy anything anyway. so I just looked, buying time.
Finally my phone rang and it was Liz. She was home. She was so sorry about everything and I went to her house to talk like I did the day I found out about my parents death. She told me everything she knew about Drew's death and I cryed, Just like i did the night of my parents death and just to put a cherry on top... His car crash was the same as when my parents died. the same exact way. You could say same car crash if it wasn't different people. i stayed there for a couple days and finally got it together to go home. I forgot my charger at home so my phone was dead and I had a million calls when I got home. I didnt' realize it was already Thursday when I got home so I didn't feel like going to school on Friday. I didnt call anybody back they were all from Kynaree and some others at school that I just meet. They were worried about me and why I wasn't In school. But I didn't care at that moment I didnt' even listen to my friends messages, i just didn't care.

~*~ Rayna's POV ~*~
I spent Saturday cleaning up the charred kitchen and helping my mom pick out new cabinets and a new counter top, we did a lot of window shopping at first until she finally decided on something decent.
On Sunday Mase showed up to help get everything installed and later on when all the work was finished Wyatt and Tryst came over, mainly to devour every source of food left in the kitchen.
Half way into the day there was nothing left but wrappers and dirty dishes, I hate men.
"Okay while Rem and I are out shopping I want the dishes done, hear me?" Lydia called from the hall, they had to go restock our food supply for the next attack.
"Eh..." The guys muffled complaints came from the living room. A few minutes after they left Tryst and Wyatt still hadn't budged from the couch.
I moved to the kitchen and started on the dishes.
"Are you guys gonna get up at all today?" I heard Love ask them
"Eh..."
A moment later she joined me in the kitchen. "I swear to god their retarded... y'know when their birthday's come around we should just buy them helmets." She said in an o-so-serious voice, A small burst of laughter came out.
"What's so funny?" Wyatt shouted, trying to be as loud as possible "Your Face" Love yelled
"HA, HA she got you" we heard Tryst in the background "Not even cool, your supposed to be on my side." Wyatt told him.
"Wow..." Love laughed and I joined in "yea, so where's the other retard?" I asked wondering
She gave me a puzzled look "Oh Lian, umm he said he had something to do, an errand to run." she said bluntly. I slowly nodded my head, "it seems like he's had a lot of things to do lately, I haven't seen him around that much." I said, she stopped rinsing the dishes and seemed to be thinking.
I dried my hands off then handed her the towel. "So where exactly is he?" I asked and her face started twisting into a nasty sneer, "I mean it'd kinda be nice to know where all the pack members are for once."
"I told you he's out running an errend" she began to get defensive I scoffed a bit "can you be more specific?" She gave me the evil eye. "No I can't, may...maybe he just doesn't want to be here or around you and Tryst and..." she trailed off and looked upset
I started to piece something together. "You really don't know where he is, or what he's doing, do you?" I asked feeling a bit concerned. Her mouth was a hard line and she was noticebly angry. "You really need to mind your own business" She threw the dish towel at me then stomped to her room.
Was she keeping something from me? or was Lian keeping something from her? two very good questions.
A moment later Wyatt was poking his head around the corner. "PMSSSSSSSSSSSSSS." I couldn't help but laugh this time.

Xian's POV
I sat on the couch for the entire night. I didn't even change clothes before I went to school. I didn't care. God I felt pathetic. Then again without her I pretty much was.
She was gone. She was gone and she wasn't coming back until this was over. If I don't survive this fight, I will never see her again.
School sucked. Ethan noticed my recent depression and my clothes. "What is the matter? Were is Aurora? Is everything okay? Is Aurora okay?" He got more and more panicked at the end of the sentence. He secretly had a crush on Aurora. He hadn't admitted it yet, but I knew he did.
"Every thing is fine," I lied and put on a fake smile. "Aurora is just visiting her sister for the rest of the week."
"But didn't she just get back?" He asked. I had forgotten, my lying skills were slipping lately.
"Oh, well she had to go back and bring Addy, our niece and Auroras sister's daughter, back to her moms. She came and visited over the weekend. And Aurora decided to stay for a few days, she'll be back on Friday."
"oh, okay. Whats with the clothes, and why are you so, sad?" He asked.
"Well, I didn't get a good night sleep last night, time change with where Aurora is, we talked on the phone all night, she hadn't realized that it was 1:00 AM for me when it was only 9:00 PM for her."
"Oh, okay."
After that conversation in first period, it all went down hill from there. I was being dragged farther and farther into this depression. I didn't pay attention in my classes, and I didn't even bring home any assignments we had, I just left them on my desk. I didn't notice.
I was home within second, so it felt. I climbed on the couch. The TV off, the lights off, and the small buzz of the computer. Thats all there was. And me, lifeless on the couch.
In the morning, still awake. This was not going to work for me.

~<>~Kynaree's POV~<>~
Cecil unlocked the trunk and pulled out my bag. I snatched it out of his hand, his expression shifted to one of unease. I ended my silent treatment, "Cecil, you're going to be all alone in that house. Aren't you going to be scared?" It was then Valkyrie decided to pull up her metallic copper show-off car.
"Scared of what?" One side of his lip curved upwards. Winchester didn't exist to me anymore, when I seen Cecil wearing his fake-hair, acned-up face, and horrible clothes I didn't see the stalker nerd. Instead, I seen Cecil's eyes, Cecil's nose, Cecil's mouth, basically I could see his face through it all. Now when that American accent escaped his mouth it sounded false, because I knew that it wasn't his voice. I could even picture his real hair being contained under the wig.
"The scary noises," I finally whispered as Valkyrie walked up to us, which broke my long moment of staring.
"No, it takes a lot more to scare me than that," he said, and that was the first time I seen him grin.
"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow," I called as I slid into Valkyrie's shiny car. I dropped the bag at my feet. The car smelled good but this time too, I didn't mention it. She dropped off her other vampire friends before finally making it to her home.
She introduced me to the room I'd be staying in and it looked much more comfortable then Cecil's couch. His bed was comfortable but there was scary shadows in his room, like a coat that was hanging in a corner looked like an old guy staring at you if it was dark enough and you squinted your eyes the right way. This room didn't look so dark and creepy. I smiled and thanked Valkyrie, she said no problem and added that I could help myself to any food I found in their house.
After I did some homework I searched their cupboards for food. There wasn't much, mostly canned soups. I chose tomato soup, because I wasn't much in the mood for anything exotic. Just something warm and that would make my stomach stop shouting.
Valkyrie helped me prepare the food, I'd never used a microwave before, or a can opener. It didn't taste that great, but I ate it anyways. The night was quiet, I had a dreamless sleep.
I woke up early and well rested, I skipped breakfast because I didn't want to bother Valkyrie again with my ignorance of human knowledge. There was many things that were different about that morning compared to the ones with Phil and Cecil. However, the difference that stuck out in my mind most was the missing scent of brewing coffee.
I didn't take very long to get ready. Before I knew it we were at school. I looked around for Cecil and he wasn't there by the time the first bell rang. He isn't even at school, I realized when lunch arrived. Trudie wasn't at school either so I sat with Valkyrie and poked at my salad. What if something really bad happened to him? He might have been attacked just like Phil was. All I could think about was how Cecil could have gotten himself into some crazy mess. At least Trudie was a normal human that could keep herself out of these mystical creature messes.
I squirmed the entire time in art, just waiting for the day to end. I didn't realize how much Cecil made a different at the art table. With just the three of us there, it was awkward.
"Valkyrie, can you drop me off at Cecil's? He wasn't at school and I just wanna make sure everything's okay," I said as soon as I entered Valkyrie's car. She agreed without hesitation.
When we arrived at the street I immediately noticed there was an extra car in the driveway. We came to a stop in front of the sidewalk, I opened the door and bumped it on the curb. I smiled at her sheepishly and raced up to the door. I heard her drive away as soon as I knocked, meaning that there must be someone there. A man I never seen before answered, he was middle aged, and had stubble under his nose and across his jawbone like he hadn't shaved in a few days. It made him look old. Those weren't the things I noticed right away though, I seen the dark brown-almost black- color of his eyes, and the dark caramel hair sticking up every which end. I knew from the man's facial features, that I was looking at Cecil's father.
"'Ello?" he had a British accent.
"Hey! You must be Cecil's dad, I'm Kynaree!" I held out my hand so he could grasp it. He did shake it, while looking at me with curiosity in his eyes.
"Kynaree?" he repeated, playing with the name on his tongue, "Kynaareee..." he drew out the word, squinting at me.
"The faerie?" I clarified wiggling my eyebrows, he nodded rolling his eyes like he should have known and let me in. I took a step into the living room, Cecil was slouching on the couch. A smile formed across my face when I realized he was fully intact, and not lying dead in a dumpster. "You're okay!"
"Yeah, I am," he agreed, giving me one his 'You're a moron' looks. I didn't mind though, that's just Cecil's thing. His eyes averted away from mine and to his dad.
The man cleared his throat, "I'm Rodger, and as you guessed, I am indeed Cecil's father." Then he randomly added, "I think I'm gonna get something to eat," and headed to the fridge.
I plopped a seat next to Cecil, "I don't mean to be mean or anything... but why is he here?" I asked quietly.
"He feels the need to check up on me. Especially after my cell phone died and I didn't answer his phone calls... I mean usually it's impossible for me to just let it die. I'm on it all the time, but ever since Phil--, eh, I just haven't been using it, and I must've forgot to plug it in."
"Right, and he must wanna see if you're okay about the whole Phil thing, because he was your friend..." I added, because Cecil didn't seem so happy about his dad being here. I know if my mom bothered to fly from England all the way here, just because I didn't answer my phone, I would feel special.
"He was my co-worker, and yes, I know he's only looking out for me. The hovering just gets kind of... tiring after awhile," Rodger entered the room as he said this and Cecil made sure to look directly at him.
"You're my only son... So, it's my job," he shrugged not caring what his son felt about on the matter. I only stayed a little while longer, but by the time I left I had decided that I really liked Rodger. He was like Cecil only way more laid-back and funny.

~*~ Lovella's Pov ~*~
That is it this is the last time I watch him walk out that door without telling me where he's going, I'm tired of not knowing.
3 minutes after Lian left I stole a set of keys off the hook and left Tryst's house, that's where we were when Lian suddenly remembered something urgent he had to do.
I started the car and listened to the silent pur, thank god this isn't Rayna's car, that thing's so loud. I entered the highway and caught a glimpse of the candy green car turn into town, I followed but at a safe distant.
We passed the richer part of the neighborhood and made our way to the slums of town, odd place to run an errand.
He made a right turn and stopped in what seemed to be an alley, I parked my car a block behind his, hopefully he won't notice it. Lian got out of the car and entered an old warehouse. I checked to make sure my phone was on silent then followed him in.
The building was extremely dark inside even for my eyes, no inside light was pouring through. I watched his figure climb down some steps, then a light flashed on just a small one from below at the bottom level I stayed at the top to see what was going on.
Lian was facing In my direction when another man stepped out from below me, I couldn't see his face...Bummer.
"What news do you have for me today?" the man asked, his voice sounded so familiar
"Not much, I haven't been around them to get what I need, I've been giving him all my time." Lian replied
The other one nodded his head "I know what you mean. so what about the house fire how'd that go?"
"It didn't, Rem got home before It could spread, I thought they would be out longer, I guess I was wrong.-" He took a moment to pause. "Do you have anything for me?" he asked
The man reached into his pocket and took out a folded peice of paper then showed it to Lian.
"What's this?" he asked in confusion
"It's the test results of the werewolf, they're negative the genes aren't pure enough." He said with slight disappointment
"And what of the other creatures?" Lian asked
The man shook his head. "So what does this mean?" he asked
"Dr. Dartan wants us to collect more DNA, but this time from different hosts, pure strands, for the werewolves it'll be the alpha..." Lian cut him off "No, I can't do that not from Rayna, I...I can't."
"I have to get Valkyrie's DNA do you really think I want to do that, no but it has to be done it's what he wants." The man explained "and from all the other creature's as well they have to be pure blood" Lian assumed the man nodded then fell silent and seemed a bit paranoid.
"What?" Lian asked
"We have a visitor." was all he said before the light smashed to the ground causing darkness to take over once again.
I didn't realize how loud my breathing became, I'm such an idiot. I stood up as quietly as possible and fumbled around trying to find the door, making quite a bit of noise.
A cold hand clamped my mouth shut and tore my hands away from the door handle, I tried to kick and wriggle free as someone picked me up and started walking down a set of stairs, they sat me down in a chair but never let go.
The man's cold breath was always on my neck sending shivers down my spine, a moment later there was hot air on my face then a voice. "Hello Love."
~*~ Rayna's POV ~*~
I was at Tryst's today unpacking the grocery's we just got, seriously Tryst and Wyatt can't fend for themselves when it comes to shopping, so I volunteered to do it... but only this time.
I popped my head into Lian's room to see if Love was here to help, she wasn't. Oh well I'll probobly just end like last time.
When I was finished I took a seat on the counter top then Tryst walked through the entry way.
"Hey have you seen Love lately she's not here or at my house"
He quickly shook his head then started pulling droors open and rummaging through their contents, he looked in the cabinets, in the china cabinet, he picked me up to looked under me and he even looked in the dishwasher.
"What are you looking for?" I asked
"My keys I can't find them."
"Dude, your cars gone" Wyatt walked in.
"What do you mean gone?" Tryst asked
He turned around and we followed him into the garage.
"Gone like, not here" Wyatt said stupidly "your's isn't here either" I informed him
He looked farther down the garage and noticed the empty space.
"OMG my cars gone, CALL 911"
I rolled my eyes then shut the door on them.

Valkyrie's POV
I couldn't help but notice Nathan's odd behavior ever since everyone left my house. I could tell he was keeping something from me but I wasn't sure what. At the moment it didn't matter though I had bigger things on my mind, like how to keep Kynaree safe while she stays with me.
Even Oni had been acting strange but I just figured that was from the stress that was building up within him. I had no idea what was really building up inside of him. That was probably why I didn't pay attention to the obvious signs that there was something different about him. They way he no longer was always by my side to protect me, along with the way that he seemed to stare off into the distance, something big on his mind. He still followed me around like a lost puppy at school but his mind was always somewhere else. I was starting to get sick of him not paying attention to what he was supposed to be doing.
Finally I got tired of his silence at school. "Oni what the hell is wrong with you. You haven't been acting like yourself lately." I whispered harshly to him across the lunch table. He snapped out of his distant like stare and looked at me.
"Huh. Nothing is wrong with me I've just have a lot on my mind that's all. Nothing you need to worry about Valkyrie, you have enough on your mind. " He answered me. I sighed realizing that he wasn't being completely honest with me but I let it go at that. There was no need to stress him out more, I knew how he got when he was totally stressed out of his mind. He became a spaz.
After school everyone crammed into my car and I drove everyone home. Kynaree and I were the only ones left in the car when I remembered that today was the second meeting of the vampire council. I looked at the clock, I would have to drive faster than normal to make it there on time.
"Kynaree I have to meet with the vampire council today so I hope you'll be okay with staying at my house without me there but Nathan should be there if anything goes wrong." I told her.
"I should be fine...I think." I smiled at her unsureness and pulled into my driveway to let her out. After she got out I sped off toward the court house. I didn't need Xian here this time to hear the verdict and I was grateful that I was able to go alone. I walked into the spacious room and felt all eyes on me as the Elders gave me their full attention.
"You're almost late." A female Elder told me.
"I know and I apologize for that. Things have been stressful lately." I said truthfully.
"Yes we heard that you were associating with the wolves in hopes with an alliance with them also. We do not exactly agree with that but in the end it might prove to be what we need in order to win this war." The same female spoke to me.
"So you are agreeing to let our warriors fight?" I asked unsure of what she meant. The Elders were good at saying one thing but meaning a completely different thing.
"Yes we are agreeing to this. Should you fail though, you lose your right to rule and Nathan Nicholi, will take the throne." She explained.
"I understand." I bowed deeply and left the room. After I was out of their hearing range I let out a huge sigh thankful that one thing had gone right so far. I flipped open my cell phone and called Nathan telling him about the meeting. He asked when I would be back home and I said in a few hours. I needed to run, needed to clear my head. Hoping to figure out a few things that were a little fuzzy in my mind.
I left my car there knowing that I would come back for it after I had my share of the wind on my face. Locking the doors even though I knew if a vamp wanted to steal my car locked doors wouldn't stop them. I just couldn't get out of the habit. Sticking my car keys in my pocket I ran off into the woods.
The wind whipped around my hair as I ran to nowhere in particular. The feeling was unbelievable as always but the sensation started to die as the feeling that someone was following me swallowed me whole. I stopped dead in my tracks listening around me. Trying to get some sort of idea who was following me. There was the sound of a stick breaking and I twirled around to try to locate the source. That was when everything went black.

~*~ Rayna's POV ~*~
"Hey Rayna can we borrow your car for a bit?" Tryst asked after Wyatt stopped freaking out, I looked at him like he was crazy.
"No, but I'll drive you guys around to find your cars" I sadly said not really wanting to lug them around town, ecspecially Wyatt.
"I CALL SHOTGUN!" Wyatt shouted then a car door, my car door, slammed shut. Tryst and I got into the car and started looking around downtown because Wyatt insisted that that's where car jackers would be.
"I don't think yours will be hard to find, ecspecially with the color." I told Wyatt
"What's wrong with the color?" Wyatt seemed offended "Nothing... it's just very green "I said then continued driving almost into an extremely green car, I slammed on my brakes and so did the other vehicle.
I got out of my car and waited for the driver to get out also, they never did. I walked over to the window and tapped on it, through the tinted windows it looked like the driver was wiping something off of their mouth but I couldn't see what.
The door opened and Lian stepped out, he looked pissed probably because I almost hit him but I could be wrong.
"What are you guys doing?" He asked looking around, Looking mighty suspicious if you ask me.
"Looking for my car, and Wyatt's, " Tryst looked at the green car then back to Lian "Next time ask to use it" His voice sounded hostile when he said that.
"What are you doing here?" I asked trying to lighten the mood a bit. He took a small box out of his car and handed it to me. "I was picking something up, for Lovella." Inside the box was a diamond necklace.
I snapped the box shut then shoved it back in his hands. "It's beautiful" I said then turned to my car, blocking everything else out.
"Hey Tryst isn't that your car over there" I heard Wyatt say, we looked to where he was pointing and in an alley there his car was. We got back in the car and headed over there, Lian followed us.
Tryst checked inside the car and pulled out Lovella's purse. "Great now we gotta find her" he sighed.
"What do you mean?, I thought she was at home that's where I last saw her." Lian looked worried. "No she's not there." I said quickly then the wind started to pick up and something was lingering in the air.
The scent was coming from a building a couple blocks up, it smelled a bit like blood but no one else seemed to notice yet.
I started walking to the building, leaving the guys behind to fight and bicker.
"Hey" Tryst called "Where you goin?" He caught up to me just as I was about to open the door.
"Don't you smell that" I opened the door and the smell grew stronger. We entered the doorway followed by Lian and Wyatt.
The room was pitch black as I shut the door once we were all in. I moved along the railing and Lian was feeling the walls for any switches.
"Did you guys find a switch yet?" Tryst asked from the ground level. "No not yet" Lian answered.
"Nothing over here either but I did step in something, don't know what though" Wyatt said from across the room where Tryst was.
I was walking down some stairs when I felt a switch along the wall "Got it" I yelled then flipped the switch on. Big lights flickered on from above and slowly started to fill the building with yellow-orange light.
I was watching the lights when I heard Lian shout Lovella's name, my head snapped toward his voice, it sounded so sad.
A chill ran down my spine as I caught site of what had become of Lovella, I tried to shut it out by closing my eyes but the image burned itself into my mind, I opened my eyes again and accepted what I was seeing.
Lian was holding her head up, it was still attached to her neck but barely, her throat was ripped out and there was blood everywhere, her clothes were soaked with blood and a puddle had formed underneath the chair she was sitting on, Lian was kneeling in front of her not caring about his jeans.
I couldn't look at her anymore, I had to get some fresh air. Outside I didn't feel any better, instead I felt a great deal of remorse for Lian and how he lost Lovella like that, even though I did kinda hate them both.
A few minutes later Tryst came out of the building not showing any emotions at all and sat down next to me.
"What, um how did she die?" I asked
"All of her blood was drained" He said quietly I looked at him "What about her neck, did a vampire do that?"
"I know for a fact that a vampire couldn't have done it like that, once they drain someones blood they leave the body alone but Lian thinks otherwise." he explained
I sighed then stood up "what's going to happen now?" I asked
He looked up at me. "I don't know."

Valkyrie's POV~
When my eyes finally reopened there was nothing but blackness. Normally I could see well in the dark because of my vampireness but I could tell from the slight pressure on my face that my eyes had been covered with a dark cloth.
There was also the weird taste of something in my mouth and I knew I had been gagged. Whoever had done this to me surely was going through a lot of precautions to make sure that I wasn't found. I realized that I was in a sitting position and that I was sitting on a wooden chair...well at least they cared about my comfort.
I tried my arms next and grew frustrated at the fact that whoever my kidnapper was knew about the strength of a vampire for they bound my arms in a material to strong for a vampire to break..something custom made for I couldn't tell what it was. The scent was different from any metal I'd ever come in contact with. My feet had been bound with the same material and I grew even more frustrated.
This obviously wasn't just some random kidnapping for some psycho to get some kicks, this person knew what they were doing and for the first time in my life I felt helpless. No one knew where I was, they didn't expect me back for a couple of hours, and they wouldn't know where to begin their search cause even I didn't know where I was. Great I haven't become queen yet and I'm already screwing up, my mind told me sarcastically.
I felt and heard a door open as it was slammed open and a cool breeze hit my face. I tried to sniff the fresh air around me to see if I recognized my visitor but it was to well disguised for me to know. I knew one was a vampire though for their scent was sweeter than the other's. The other I couldn't identify for I had never smelt anything like it before.
"Now Valkyrie we are just going to take a small blood sample and well you won't exactly be free to go but I will take the gag out of your mouth. " An icy soft voice that sent shivers down my spine explained to me that came from the creature that I couldn't recognize. I laughed behind my gag. If they needed a blood sample then they should have known no needle would be strong enough to pierce my skin. Of course that was probably what the vampire was there for so my laughter immediately died.
I cried out in agony when a sharp pain hit my arm, creating what I knew was going to be a deep gash, though it wouldn't take long to heal, I would still lose a lot of blood and would need to feed soon after this. I was surprised when they patched up my arm like a doctor would a patient of course there had to be some reason behind it. They obviously didn't want me dead...yet
"Can't let you lose all that precious blood now can we. So I'm just gonna patch this up real quickly and I'll even let you have a little dinner. Bring the human in." The icy voice was louder this time and the gag was ripped from my mouth. If it was my blood they needed then I was going to have to find the strength to resist my blood lust so there was nothing more for them to take. I would rather die before I put my people in harm by becoming some experiment that could endanger them all. Of course dying was actually a big possibility here, whether it by my choice or if they decided to kill me once they no longer had any use from me.
The human that they brought in was already bleeding from the smell of him and he was dragged over to me. They left the room to let me enjoy my meal in private. After the door closed the man started screaming, asking where he was. I tried to calm him down but it was no use. He couldn't hear me over his own screaming. So I did what was necessary to shut him up. I let out a scream so loud that with my sensitive ears, I heard the glass start to shake a bit.
He instantly shut up after that finally realizing that he was not alone and there was someone else there with him who might be in more danger than himself. Stupid human.
"Now you can keep screaming uselessly for you're obviously not going to get any answers from these people or we can try to help each other out." I told him sharply.
"Uh okay." He seemed confused by my non-panicked state.
"Are you're eyes blindfolded or can you see the area around you?" I asked him.
"uh no I can see fine." He answered in a shaky voice. Well I guess what ever sick psycho was doing this wanted this to see what would happen next.
"Good now tell me what the room looks like." My voice was calm as I spoke to him, though inside I was concentrating hard on not killing him.
"I, I can't see anything it's pitch black in here." I sighed letting out my frustration.
"Okay then if you can take off my blindfold I'll be able to see perfectly in the dark." I told him. I heard him fumble around in the darkness as he tried to find the knot that the blindfold was in. The scent of his blood washed over me strongly then and I realized where he was bleeding from. I held my breath the whole time he fumbled around with the knot seeing as how I didn't need the air to survive. Even with holding my breath his scent was still in my mouth, lingering there, waiting for my mouth to open and let more of the delicious scent in.
Finally the cloth fell from my face and I had to blink a couple of times to clear my vision. "Thank you." I said quickly before I could be more tempted by his blood. I looked around the room trying to figure out where I was. It looked like an old abandoned building that a few homeless people had tried living in before. Their stench still filled the air but it was stale, no one had been here for awhile until now.
"Okay now can you see if my cell phone is in my jean pocket?" I asked him once again quickly so I wouldn't use up my non tainted air supply, hoping he would understand me.
"Uh yea I think it's in there." I smirked to myself after that. They were making this to easy. One quick call to Nathan or Oni and they would track my cell phone to my destination and get me the hell out of here.
"Can you get it out please." I asked him using up the last of my fresh air. damn, now what? I don't want to kill this man.
"Uh yea sure. You know the funny thing is was they said that you were going to eat me. Said you were a vampire or something like that. I mean vampires don't even exist. I mean yea there are cannibals, and maybe you are one but seeing the situation you're in, and I'm helping you I doubt you'll eat me." He almost laughed and he would have had it not been for the situation. Cannibals? Well at least he was creative.
"Yea that is kinda weird." If only he knew. He got the cell phone out of my pocket and went to turn it on but it wasn't working he flipped it over and I almost yelled out in anger. They had taken the battery out. Whoever this guy was he was good. Creating false hope when it was needed and then taking it away.
They were too good.
"Look did you get a glimpse of the people who brought you here?" I asked hoping he had seen them.
"No they blindfolded me before I could see them. It's to bad too when I get out of here I'm calling the police on these freaks." He almost sounded confident that he was going to make it out of here in one piece instead of in a body bag, almost.
"They police will be able to do nothing for you." I told him sharply. He looked at me in fear as his sixth sense finally kicked in making him realize the danger he was facing in just this one room where he thought that he was safe when really every moment he was near me he was in greater danger. "If you wanna survive long enough to see your wife and your daughter again I suggest you get away as far as possible from me." I explained after reading his mind to see what he held dearest to him.
"What..what do you mean you're not gonna be able to do anything to me your arms and legs are bound." he shut up after the lights flickered brightly on and he looked around him and caught glimpse of the fangs that were starting to appear from their hiding place in my mouth.
"I'd get away Glen you don't know the strength of a vampire when she is both royalty and very very thirsty. Of course if I break through these bonds it doesn't matter how far away you get away from me in this room you wouldn't be able to fight me off even if I let you try." I chuckled humorlessly to myself. I was doing my best to keep in control but the thirst was winning, it always one in the end. Even the most controlled vampire couldn't evade it for very long.
"You, You're all out of your minds! I know what you look like Missy! I can report you to the cops and they will find you!." His voice was shaky again. I tried my bonds again as my blood lust grew larger. This time I felt them give. I didn't want to kill the man but if it meant getting me out of these bonds then and giving me a fighting chance against whoever was keeping me here then I would gladly kill him.
This time Glen took my warning and proceeded to run as far away as he could from me. He must not have been bleeding bad and it was just a small wound that they had created to taunt me. It had worked. This time when I tried the bonds they gave away freely and the hunt was on.

~<>~Kynaree's POV~<>~
There I sat... Sitting. I tried paying attention to the show Nathan and I were watching, but I had no idea what was going on. It was basically just about a guy and how miserable his life was, what was the point? I didn't find it funny, everyone was mean.
Nathan didn't take too much interest in the show either, he kept checking his phone. Probably waiting for Valkyrie to call or text him. I sighed and started humming to myself. Finally the silence between us was too much for me. "So... what's up?"
"Valkyrie should have been back by now."
"Yeah?" I said, "Her car smells good," I added trying to keep the conversation flowing so there wasn't that awkward silence again.
"Sure," he replied, "Maybe we should go look for her."
"Hmm... Maybe," I agreed bobbing my head up and down, "Why don't you call her?"
"It didn't cross my mind I guess..."
"Yeah?" I replied, still feeling the awkward. He flipped open his cell phone and hit a button, we both waited for the ringing to come to an end.
"It went straight to her voicemail, that's weird. She never turns off her phone."
"Okay, let's go find her!" I said excitedly although he didn't look too thrilled. He got up anyways and grabbed his keys. We walked out of the house and to his shiny car parked in the garage. "Pretty... What kind of car is it?"
"1965 Mustang," he answered dully, as if he'd been asked this a thousand times.
"It's shiny," I complimented running my finger down the silver stripe, the car alarm went off and I let out a small scream. He didn't look phased. We got in and I noticed his car smelt as good as Valkyire's.
As we searched the streets for her I closed my eyes and let my senses feel further ahead, I had a radius of about an 1/8 of a mile around. The auras were the same stuff, humans worrying about something or another.
As soon as she touched my field of vision I immediately knew it was her. "She's in that building" I told him pointing to an old warehouse. The tires and I shrieked when he skidded to a fast stop. He rushed out and I scrambled to get my seat belt undone. Without waiting for me he entered the building. The vibes coming off Valkyrie were scary and I felt bad for whatever was in her way.
"She seems kind of not happy," I warned him.
"Just tell me where she is."
"On the main floor, she's chasing someone and seems to be struggling with an inter conflict," I said as we ran from hallway to hallway. The place was like a maze in the dark and every corner I took it felt like something would pop out. I knew where she was, I just couldn't get to her.
"Your moving too slow just tell me where she is," he growled.
"She's like way over there," I pointed, "but the building is all maze-like and I don't know how to get over there." Without hesitating he shoved a hole though the wall and went through it, he was moving too fast so I decided to exercise my wings. I easily slipped off my necklace and flew after him. My senses increased in my natural form and made her presence stick out more, along with the other being.
When we finally found her, she had the man cornered and Nathan had to hold her back. He whispered something in her ear that I couldn't make out. Her hunting instincts lessened and the frustration and fury bouncing off her just seconds before started to decrease.

~Valkyrie's POV~
I had the man cornered when two recognizable scents filled my nose. It distracted me for only a second though and I turned back to the human who was about to become my dinner and my greatest regret. Two strong hands grabbed my shoulders just as I was about to lunge at him. I tried to fight against the iron grip but he wouldn't let me move a muscle, no matter how hard I fought and squirmed.
"Valkyrie you don't wanna kill him. He was a family, remember your promise to yourself that you would never hunt a human who had everything to lose." Nathan whispered to me reminding me of my morals. I leaned into him as I fought to regain my control over my blood lust and almost collapsed to the floor as the unnatural strength that came with blood lust seeped out of my body.
The man named Glen looked at us in horror and I saw him staring at a small floating object with bright purple hair behind Nathan and I. "It's rude to stare." I told him smiling wearily. Of course that didn't stop him from staring at my winged friend.
"Uh yea but it would be nice to know what I'm staring at." He said in a shaky voice. Man this guy was wimp, the slightest thing freaked him out. Or maybe it was just because I was used to these kinds of things. I mean its not an everyday thing for him to get attacked by a vampire.
"That's Kynaree the faerie." I grinned at him my fangs no longer visible, now that I was back in control of my thirst.
"Wonderful, kidnappings, vampires, faeries, what next? Werewolves?" Glen muttered mostly to himself. Kynaree, Nathan and I both looked at each other and almost burst out laughing. If only he knew the creatures that roamed this earth.
"Oh and by the way this is all just some twisted dream that your in. Next time be careful what you eat, somethings can give you really weird dreams. I'd stay away from the mushrooms if I were you." Nathan explained for me. Haha mushrooms, haha I get it. Boy was I starting to loose it.
"So this is all just some weird messed up dream that I'm in?" He asked sounding unsure of what we were telling him. "If this is a dream then why if I pinch myself does it hurt."He tried to sound smart. I rolled my eyes at him.
"Because you want it to hurt so you'll think that we are lying when really we aren't." Nathan continued to talk for me.
"Okay I hope I wake up soon then. This is just a little to insane for me." With that said we left the man there not wanting to endanger him anymore by keeping him in the same room as me while my blood lust was still hard to control.
Kynaree turned back to her human form and walked out with us and into the black mustang, where no one would see us through the tinted glass. "Kynaree I hope you don't mind but I have to hunt otherwise I might attack you accidental. Though your blood really is unappetizing." I told her in an exhausted voice as I leaned my head back against the seat.
"Oh um yea I don't mind. I don't have to watch do I?" She asked nervously. I smiled at that.
"No you don't have to watch. What kind of well not person but vampire would I be if I made you watch me hunt?"
"Um a normal vampire I guess." She shrugged. I couldn't help but chuckle a little. Nathan drove to the slums of town where the homeless normally lived. I searched the minds of each person that I saw living on the street finding the ones that only thought about getting enough money to drown themselves in alcohol to mask their sorrows one bottle at a time. He parked the car down into an alley way and we left Kynaree with the car.
"Good idea leave the frightened faerie with the car." Nathan said with a sarcastic edge to his voice.
"Hey Kynaree can be trusted and I don't think she will let someone high jack your car with her in it....then again she is Kynaree. Whatever I'm to thirsty to think about it." I told him while I gave into my blood lust and roamed the streets for the nearest alcoholic homeless guy.
When we finished hunting we ran back to the car to find Kynaree in the fetal position in the backseat waiting for us to come back. Poor frightened faerie.

~<>~Kynaree's POV~<>~
It was Friday night, it was so sudden that I was surprised. The week went by quickly and not much happened. Trudie didn't make it to school all week, I called her once with no reply. Valkyrie didn't get kidnapped again, and Oni still thought I was weird. I didn't try making conversation with the Dartans anymore, and I didn't fall asleep in Journalism again.
Cecil wasn't very happy when he heard that Valkyrie was vampire-napped and thought it was really stupid that I went with Nathan to go look for her. He said it could have been a trap or something, I was pretty sure he was being paranoid.
I was tired of doing the same thing every night so instead of going back to Valkyrie's I went to Cecil's to watch TV for awhile. I felt bad for him, he had to be all alone in this house. His house was creepy at night, with all the scary noises and dark shadowy stuff in the corners. We were watching some weird doctor show where the main character was a complete jerk. Apparently from the commercials it was called House. When the commercials came we tried to make conversation.
"This show is weird," I sighed.
"Yeah," he muttered and started flipping through the channels. "What do you wanna watch?"
"How am I supposed to know what's on TV?" I replied, not sounding mean, just a matter of fact.
"I was being polite," he explained. His expression turned nonplussed, and then he smirked, "Would you miss me if I went back to England?" I wondered what kind of question that was.
"Are you?" I asked, trying to sound casual and not worried that I was going to lose my new friend.
"My dad wants me to, but no. The question was just hypothetical," he shrugged. Cecil was just weird like that sometimes. I think it was just because he thought too much, and sometimes he needed thoughts to escape.
"Your dad knows what's best for you," I pointed out, but added sadly, "I think I'd miss you though. I'd be stuck with a bunch of vampires and Trudie..." House came back on and the conversation ended.

~Trudie's POV~
It was Saturday morning and I figured I should do something, but I couldn't move. So I just laided their in bed looking at the ceiling. When I looked to the door I saw someone standing there. Who was it? I couldn't quite make it out. It looked like Drew, But Drews dead. I've forced myself to believe it, and finally excepted it. I got up to get a better look. But who ever it was was gone.
I looked at the clock and it said 6:00 a.m. Why did I wake up so early? I decided to call Kynaree. I looked at my cell. I dialed the number she called me on so many times and Valkyrie answered. She sounded really tired. "Sorry if I woke you." I said not entirely sure if I was truely sorry.
"Who is this?" She answered.
"Trudie. Kynaree is with you right? She called me on this number a couple times and I just wanted to get back to her. To make sure she knew I was OK."
"Yeah... I'll wake her up. Hold on." I heard her set down the phone, go to the other room and I couldn't hear anything else for awhile. Finally, Kynaree came on. "Hello." She sounded even more tired then Valkyrie.
"Hey, I need to talk to someone, and I thought of you for some reason." Maybe it was a sign. "Is there a good time to talk. Is there a good place you would like to meet?"
"Well, we can meet at your house if you want."
"Umm ok. When?"
"Well you woke me up already, if you can come get me, then anytime. Cause Valkyrie already fell back asleep."
"Okay. I need something to do, and need to talk to anyone I can."
"Okay see ya when you get here."
"Wait!"
"What?"
"Where does she live. I can't read minds." She heard a mans voice tell Kynaree the directions cause she didn't want to wake up Valkyrie again. When I got to her house she was outside waiting for me. She got in the passenger side door.
"Um thanks for picking me up. Valkyries friend just woke up and I've had just about as much silence as I can handle."
"No Problem. Your really helping me. I've had a lot going on lately."
It was a couple minutes of silence, but we made it to my house in one piece. We went to the bedroom and I'm sure she was wondering what I was doing, leading her to my bedroom.
"Ok, This morning, I woke up and didn't want to get up. But when i looked over to my door, right where you are standing now, and I saw, well I think I, Well maybe for sure--"
"Get to the point."
"I think I saw a ghost."
"So.."
"Well, You don't think thats weird?"
"I guess for humans maybe." Right after the words left her mouth, her eyes went wide and she covered her mouth.
"What? What is that supposed to mean?"
"Well, I just say dumb stuff when i'm tired. Why did you wake me up so early?"
"I'm sorry..." I was still a little confused. Ok maybe a lot.
All of a sudden, the roof collapsed.

~Valkyrie's POV~
After the wake up call from Trudie I was only able to fall asleep for another 20 minutes but I laid in bed for another ten minutes trying to fall back asleep once again. I finally got out of bed when I heard a car pull into the driveway and I wondered who could be here at 6:30 in the freaking morning. I looked out my window and recognized the battered up car to be Cecil's.
I went downstairs to answer the door for him and he instantly asked for Kynaree. "She's at Trudie's, she left about ten minutes ago." I told him as he still stood in the doorway. His expression turned angered as he began to glare at me.
"You let her go there unprotected! Do you have any idea the kind of danger she is in! It could be a trap do you even know this Trudie person?" He almost yelled.
"Inside and out." I said tapping my forehead with my pointer finger to remind him of the vampire's powers to read minds of humans. "Why do you care so much?" The color drained from his face and my mouth twitched up into a smile as I heard his thoughts. His mind was so complicated that I think even he didn't know what he really thought or wanted.
I grabbed my car keys from the counter and called for Nathan. "What's up?" He asked and I quickly explained the situation to him.
"So we are going on a possible rescue, while your in your pajamas?" Nathan raised his eyebrows at me and looked at me like I was starting to go crazy. "Not very royal like." He chuckled.
"Well if we wait any longer I think Cecil here will try to murder me with his death like glare. So yea I'm going in my pj's." I said already heading out the door.
"We can take my car." Cecil suggested.
"Mines faster." I couldn't help but brag. So we climbed into my metallic orange corvette Nathan riding shotgun and Cecil sat in the back arms crossed over his chest still glaring at me but I ignored it as I tried to find Trudie's mind so I could find my way to her house.
"shit. I can't find her mind. Nathan any luck?"
"Never heard her mind before so I don't know what to look for."
"Well guess we are going on foot from here. Faster anyways." I said slamming on the breaks and coming to a sudden stop. Thankfully Cecil was wearing his seat belt for he was thrust forward from the inertia.
"Wait what do you mean by foot?" Cecil asked sounding unsure of this.
"Do you want to find Kynaree or not. Wait dumb question of course you do it's implanted in your mind. So since I'm not about to carry you Nathan will and we will get there ten times faster than by car cause we will actually know where to go." I told him getting frustrated.
"Fine. If it will get us to Kynaree faster then sure." He said finally giving up on the stubborn act that he always put on.
"Sorry Nathan." I told him as Cecil hopped on his back and we took off. I followed Trudie's scent to her house and hoped that if something had gone wrong that we weren't to late. If so I was going to blame Cecil for arguing. When we got there I could sense a strong magical presence around the area and Nathan, Cecil and I quickly went up to the third floor.
Not bothering with the doorknob for it was probably locked anyways I kicked down the door causing a loud bang and followed the scent to Trudie's room. Once again I kicked down the door again not bothering once again with the insignificance of the doorknob. Nathan let down Cecil then and we witnessed Kynaree struggling with a barrier to try to protect herself and Trudie from the nymphs that were intruding through the roof.
The nymphs took pause in their rampage to notice the new comers and they realized that they had a harder fight on their hands now. "You might want to stay out of the way." I told Cecil he shook his head and pulled out a small hand gun. "Just make sure you don't shoot one of us on accident."
Nathan and I nodded at each other and as our fangs slid out we leaped out at the nymphs each taking one out there, ripping their throats out with our hands and letting them bleed to death. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Cecil stand in front of Kynaree to protect her as he shot two down.

~<>~Kynaree's POV~<>~
By the time the others got there, the others being Valkyrie, Nathan and Cecil, I was close to collapsing. Trudie was extremely freaked out, especially when Valkyrie and Nathan went all vampire-psycho. I was surprised to see Cecil with them, but not unhappy because he came to my aid and I could finally rest. Trudie gave me a look and all I could do was shrug back and act completely at ease.
After the leftover nymphs finally realized they were beaten we all just sat there sharing the same thought of "Whoa that was a close one", "You guys showed up!" I said smiling pleasantly at them all.
"It would have been easier if I could've read Trudie's mind..." Valkyrie replied with a curious look.
"Read...mind?" Trudie stuttered out.
"Yeah, she's weird," I informed her, rolling my eyes.
"Thanks Kynaree, if you haven't realized your not so normal yourself," Valkyrie snorted.
"What is going on?" Trudie demanded, "And who are you all?" she added pointing to the guys.
"You might know me better as Winchester," Cecil mumbled obviously not liking the fact that his cover was blown once again.
"I'm Nathan."
In one big gush I started explaining everything, she just sat there trying to take it all in. "And that's all I know," I finished.
"Okay," she said looking at everyone differently now. "Why can't Valkyrie read my mind anymore?"
"We --vampires-- can only read human minds," Valkyrie explained.
"Yeah, and what do you think I am?"
"Obviously not human, have you noticed anything different about yourself lately?"
"She said she saw a ghost this morning," I joined myself into the conversation. Valkyrie looked interested.
"What caused that?" Trudie wondered.
"Trama, extreme stress, near death experience, major depression..." Cecil started listing off his blackberry.
"And that's why he doesn't have a faster car" Valkyrie muttered, Cecil glared in her direction.
"At least I have a faster a internet connection," he replied.
"You don't know that!"
"I have the internet in the palm of my hand."
"Would both of you just knock it off," Nathan barged in.
"I was having a perfectly good argument here," Valkyrie told him.
"And this why you don't wake her up at six o' clock in the morning..."
Valkyrie looked down at her blood stained pajamas, "You got that right... I got blood all over my good pajamas!"
"My point exactly," Nathan exclaimed shaking his head.
